Egypt increases its focus on “green” energy

Egypt intends to strengthen its energy sector further in the next 20 years with an enormous investment program of USD 110 billion. Most squarely in focus in this respect is the renewable energies sector, which should see its share increased to over 20%.
Helped by the geographical location, solar energy in particular offers enormous resources. The globally increasing demand for renewable energies offers Egypt the opportunity to evolve as a booming center for solar energy.
