Positive development in tourism figures in Nova Scotia
Report 2-2/2010
Nova Scotia once more increased its tourist figures to a current level of approximately 2 million visitors per year. Most of these – around 60% - still come from the North American mainland. Helped by its domestic resources, quality tourism in golf, sailing, fishing and hunting took on greater importance for Nova Scotia. Nova Scotia’s selection of hotels and resorts is increasingly moving toward offers in the 5-star range – necessary measures to promote the positive visitor development further.
